Pinned Resources
The MMC Pinned Resources feature is a paid, add-on tool - if you would like to learn more about adding this feature to your MMC instance, please fill out this form.
Resources allows organizations, teams, and users to manage files and links all within the MMC platform for easy access to any resources while behind the desktop or in the field.
With this feature, Team Owners are able to upload files (photo, pdf, spreadsheet, etc.) or links and share them with specific users or teams or keep them private. Team Managers and Team Members also have the ability to upload their own resources to maintain within MMC. Team Owners have the ability to determine sharing permissions for Team Managers and Members within the Resources tab of Organizational Preferences in Settings
Note: Each organization will receive 1GB of storage for each paid license in their MMC account (EX: 20 paid seats = 20GB of storage)
To add a new Resource:
- Click on "Resources" from the Main Navigation Menu
- Select the blue “Add Resource” button in the upper right corner of the page and select whether you would like to upload a file or add a web hyperlink
- If uploading a file - choose a document, spreadsheet, image, PDF, video, etc. from your device that you would like to add into the Resources section
- If uploading a link - provide a Name for the link and insert the appropriate URL
- If uploading a file - choose a document, spreadsheet, image, PDF, video, etc. from your device that you would like to add into the Resources section
- As the Team Owner - Select which Teams or Users should get access to this resource or select “Do Not Share” if you would like to keep this resource private to yourself
- Uploaded resources will appear within the All Resources section
- The icon on the left of each resource will indicate the type of resource i.e. Image, Link or Spreadsheet in the screenshot below
- Below the resource name you will see the date the resource was uploaded, the amount of storage the resource is consuming and any Teams or users this resource is shared with
- On the right side of the resource - the Owner of the resource will be indicated
Tip: Use the Pin Icon on the right side of a resource to pin this to the top of your web resources page as well as the Pinned Resources section of the Mobile app
To create and use Folders:
Folders allow you to better segment and organize your Resources. Full Folders of Resources can also be shared with Teams or users
- Click on "Resources" from the Main Navigation Menu
- Select the blue plus button in the My Folders section on the left side of the screen
- Name your new folder and confirm with the blue check mark
- Following the “To add a new Resource” instructions above while clicked into a Folder will automatically add this resource to the selected folder and into the “All Resources” section
- To add an existing Resource into a Folder - use the blue vertical ellipses menu on the right side of the Resource > Add to Folder > Select the Folder you would like to add the Resource to
- To Share, Rename or Delete a Folder - use the blue ellipses menu button on the right side of the Folder’s name
To share a Resource:
- Click on "Resources" from the Main Navigation Menu
- Use the check boxes on the left side of the Resource Name to select the Resource(s) you would like to Share with Teams or users
- Alternatively - use the blue vertical ellipses menu on the right side of the Resource > Share to share an individual Resource
- Select which Team(s) or users you would like to to share the Resource(s) with and finalize this sharing by clicking on the blue “Share” button
To Download a Resource to a local device:
- Click on "Resources" from the Main Navigation Menu
- Select on the Resource you would like to download
- Using the download icon to save this resource to your local device
- Alternatively - use the blue vertical ellipses menu on the right side of the Resource > Download option
To Filter, Sort, and Search Resources:
Use Filters to easily focus into Resources based on Type, Owner or Resources shared with you using the quick Filter icons at the top of the page:
Use the Sort options on the right side of the page to change the sort order of the Resource list by:
- File Name (A>Z or Z>A)
- Date Created (Newest or Oldest at the top)
- File Size (Largest or Smallest at the top)
- Owner (A>Z or Z>A)
- Date Modified (Newest or Oldest at the top)
Use the Search bar in the upper right corner to find a specific Resource or Resources that contain a desired keyword:
To delete a Resource:
- Click on "Resources" from the Main Navigation Menu
- Use the check boxes on the left side of the Resource Name to select the Resource(s) you would like to move to Trash
- Alternatively - use the blue vertical ellipses menu on the right side of the Resource > Delete to move an individual Resource to the Trash folder
- Use the blue vertical ellipses menu on the right side of the Trash folder to Empty Trash or any records in the Trash folder for greater than 90 days will automatically be permanently deleted
